Job Descriptions
Front Desk Attendants performing their daily tasks at the Front Office are playing an important role in forming a quality image of the hotel as the guest’s first impression, when coming to the reception area. The manner in which a Front Desk attendant performs his / her duty has a tremendous effect on the guests’ perception of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive appearance, proper grooming and keep tidy.
- Responsible for smooth check-in, check-out, posting all transactions and reporting.
- Has good knowledge of hotel information and ARTOTEL Group programs, rate structure, activities, product, housekeeping and front office tasks and procedures.
- Good knowledge of reservation, room availability, peak season or fully booked.
- Pays full attention to guest’s demands, especially when dealing with handling any complaint.
- Arrange all pick-up / transfer services/ any reservation request.
- Handle any room request or other package and collaborate with other departments.
- Respond promptly, completely and cheerfully to all guest questions, problems, and requests.
- Ensure the guest understands and is informed properly with any hotel regulations.
- Able to operate the switchboard in the operator room in case of replacement needed and daily rolling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
