The Financial Operations team manages all customer funds across the region, ensuring that funds are placed appropriately, liquidity is managed correctly, transactions are reconciled and all manual operations to support customer fund flows are executed to an extremely high standard.
This role specifically is to run the FX and Cash Management teams for our sister entity, DragonPay, while still reporting regionally into the Xendit Head of FinOps. The DragonPay team currently operates independently of Xendit, but the goal is to align our operations across entities and use best practices from each to raise the bar.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Management, Accounting, Finance, or a similar course, with 6-8 years of relevant experience in a start-up/fast paced environment or within the payments, fintech, or financial services spaces
- At least 3 years working in cross-border and FX operations
- Experience in managing a Finance / Financial Operations team of 6-8 people
- Able to get your hands dirty, getting into the weeds of the operations to ensure they are done in the most efficient and effective manner
- Comfortable dealing with large datasets and data analysis
- Constantly looking to push the bar and increase standards of operations
- You have a discerning ability to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- You are a team player and communicate well with internal and external stakeholders
- You have great ownership mentality and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself
- You pick up new skills quickly using a combination of self-exploration and relationship building
- You are detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality work
- Detail oriented, can see patterns in data/information or notice when something is amiss
- Located in Manila, able to go to the DragonPay office in Marikina daily
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or dealing with banks or large financial institutions
- Experience with SQL or visualization tools (e.g. Looker)
- At least 3 years working in cash management / treasury operations
Responsibilities
Oversee & execute the fund management & liquidity strategy for DragonPay operations
- Understand all fund flows, their volumes, and their liquidity requirements, in order to build on the existing strategy to support these operations
- Enhance the existing strategy to manage liquidity in the most operationally and cost effective manner for Xendit. Adjust strategy as needed
- Monitor funds through the day to ensure correct allocation across accounts
- Train the team on how to manage liquidity so they grow into operating more independently
Monitor FX operations to ensure seamless execution
- Execution of FX operations will be done by the existing Financial Operations team.
- Oversee and guide the operations to ensure that there are no errors or disruptions to merchant flows
- Create or update SOPs as required to correct operations and ensure they all follow best practices
- Address and manage any operational issues or escalations independently
Operational improvements & reporting
- Focus on the processes and tooling to enable the execution of cross border fund flows and liquidity operations
- Own and drive Cash Management & FX metrics such as efficiency and accuracy
Work closely with various internal teams to drive success
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure all operations are smooth and all Cash Management / FX transactions are correctly reconciled
- As our products continue to evolve, partner closely with the product team to give feedback on the product and provide FinOps’ input and requests, to ensure future builds and evolutions meet our operational requirements
- Solve complex problems by working across product, regional partnerships, treasury, compliance, sales and growth teams to ensure FinOps is set up for success
Team management
- Manage and guide team members to grow within Xendit and scale up their skillset
- Mentor junior team members and ensure their work is delivered to a high standard
- Coach more senior team members to level up, become people managers, and take on additional responsibilities
