About the Job
Xendit group consists of multiple, diversified business lines and entities across SouthEast Asia which cover a variety of business models and product offerings from online and offline payments to lending to consumers and businesses to e-wallets and banking as a service. Strong risk management and governance is imperative for the safety of the company as well as all our stakeholders, and visibility to correct, accurate and timely metrics is essential for effective risk management.
We are looking for an experienced analyst to help us build our suite of reporting to track and monitor - key risk indicators across the portfolio, key performance indicators of the Risk function, Risk operations metrics and efficiency, product, country and channel risk, etc. You will play a critical role in building our risk fundamentals by identifying the right metrics, finding the right data and ensuring timely visibility to relevant stakeholders so that Xendit can identify and mitigate risks effectively.
There are three key responsibilities for this role.
- Build the golden source: Identify the correct data source for various metrics and bring together the data in one place to develop the authoritative source for key metrics.
- Comprehensive reporting suite: Build reporting covering key areas of risk management including portfolio, country, channel and internal team level reporting.
- Insights and analysis: Provide support to answer ad-hoc questions or deep dive analysis on the insights from the reports.
The role will require extensive coordination with multiple teams across Xendit and you will be expected to become the most authoritative source for data and metrics related to risk. You will work directly with the Head of Risk and be a trusted advisor on the performance of the Risk function at Xendit.
This is a high visibility role which will require strong communication, a good grasp of risk fundamentals, an ability to adapt and be creative, and a lot of patience in dealing with multiple stakeholders. You will be a key member of the Risk team with critical responsibilities, working in a fast-paced environment, and you will see tangible results of your efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence or data analysis
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with data querying and reporting tools
- Solid stakeholder management skills and ability to influence others
- Excellent communication and the ability to craft the story from the data
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, engineering or mathematics
- Experience with risk related reporting at banks or fintechs, particularly related to payments
Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Risk and other stakeholders to identify and define the metrics for reporting
- Find the data to report on the metrics and build a repository of accurate and dependable data and metrics
- Build and publish the suite of reports and dashboards covering various aspects of risk
- Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting needs
- Present reports and metrics at various forums
- Do whatever it takes to make Xendit successful
