About the Job
We are looking for a Compliance Manager / Senior Manager & Anti-Money Laundering Officer (AMLO) to oversee AML compliance for our Singapore payments business. This role will be responsible for end-to-endAML policy setting and implementation, regulatory reporting, and high-risk merchant reviews. While the focus will be on Singapore, there will also be opportunities to support regional AML initiatives (20-30%).
This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Head of Compliance, Singapore.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience
- 7+ years of experience in AML compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management within the financial services, fintech, e-wallets, or payments industry.
- Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of MAS regulations, and AML/CFT requirements..
- Familiarity with merchant acquiring, payment services, or e-wallets operations is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently, lead compliance initiatives, and influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- CAMS certification preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities
AML Compliance & Advisory
- Act as the designated AMLO for the Singapore payments business, ensuring compliance with MAS regulations and internal policies.
- Oversee the AML/CFT compliance programme, ensuring adherence to local and international standards.
- Implement risk-based approaches to transaction monitoring, customer due diligence (CDD), and enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk customers.
- Ensure robust sanctions screening processes are in place, aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct compliance testing and assessments, identifying gaps and ensuring timely remediation.
- Conduct risk assessments on merchants, payment flows, and high-risk industries.
- Provide AML advisory to internal stakeholders, including risk, legal, and business teams.
Regulatory Engagement & Reporting
- Handle MAS AML-related regulatory reporting, including STR filings, periodic reports, and audit responses.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure alignment with evolving MAS requirements.
Compliance Advisory & Business Support
- Provide proactive compliance guidance to business teams on new product launches, partnerships, and commercial initiatives.
- Support the development of internal policies and procedures, ensuring they align with regulatory expectations.
Collaboration & Regional Support
- Work closely with the regional compliance team to align AML practices across markets.
- Support regional AML projects and initiatives (~20-30% of the role).
