About the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable until the payment process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior Accountant manages confidential data with integrity and execute tasks with precision and speed, significantly impacting Xendit's operations and success.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of working experience fast-growing environment with experience being audited by Big 4 accounting firms
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
- At least 2 years of experience working in one of the Big 4 accounting firms
- At least 2 years of experience in the procurement-to-pay process as the lead processor
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes and internal controls
- Experienced in using Computerized Accounting System particularly Oracle NetSuite
- Proficient in Google apps (e.g. google docs, google sheets, google slides) and slack
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality work
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, showing initiative and a strong goal-oriented mindset
- Team player and have great ownership mentality and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself
- Pick up new skills quickly using a combination of self-exploration and relationship building
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Payables and Payment Processing
- Review, validate and process invoices from partners and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance with Xendit’s policies
- Timely preparation of BIR Form 2307 for partners and vendors
- Handles queries and reconcile discrepancies in the invoices from the partners and vendors
- Prepare and initiate payment runs and at the same time ensure the partners’ and vendors’ terms are maximized
- Timely communication with the partners and vendors on the settlement of dues
- Ensure that all documentation (e.g. invoices, receipts) are intact and are being systematically filed
- Financial Reporting
- Responsible for the monthly AP closing activities: accruals, account reconciliation of balance sheet and profit or loss accounts, schedules reconciliation.
- Analyze the trends of cost of services and operating expenses for management review.
- Efficiency Optimization
- Identifies significant recurring AP issues and coordinates with Global and cross functional team for resolution
- Propose solutions and assist in managing automation projects.
- Develop SOPs to maximize the efficiency and scalability of the Finance and Accounting department.
